How can drive from two objects a third one with Xpresso?

Post by Tadd »

Hi Guys,
I have a difficult question: How can i drive from two control objects with its user datas a third one through Xpresso?
In my case for eg. a thumb & fingers controls of a hand needs to be drive and share its parameters parallelly from these two objects and control with them, not in same time but in turns. One for the IK state, another for the FK state. I have no idea what is the practice for this logical method and what nodes needs to be share to each other for a properly work.

Thank you so much!

hi Tadd
Before scripting with xpresso can you explain what is the goal of your animation? What movement do you need to replicate?
Have you got a video reference or a screenshot of the model detail you want to animate?

Sorry but I don't understand your request, pfiu

Understand the animation type is foundamental to help you choicing the best rig approach :)

Hi cappellaiomatto,
thanks for your response. But let alone this skeleton, it doesnt matter actually. My purpose is, i want to drive an object from two places (objects) individually, sharing its parameters each other (from its user datas) with a mutual driving, without loops and freezings. I am not a programmer, but i curious for this logical method, what is the solution. If you have an idea I'll appreciate you.

Thank you!

OK now I understand what you need.
the xpresso node to use is "condition" and you need a selector property.
You cannot control a property from two objects at the same time.

Bye
:)
