Problem with KNIFE-LINECUT

Postby robimurer » Sat Nov 11, 2017 2:35 am

Hello everyone, my first question in this forum, thanks in advance.
I am making a dynamic web, first i try with hair, flat render, tag cloth and more or less ...
I found a very good tutorial, where he uses the knife or line cut (this also is not clear to me, did they change the name?)
to cut a plane and remove the surface and then with ATOM ARRAY AND CLOTH TAG puts the dinamic, it goes very well!
Time the question: when I want to cut the plane in lines of cut, the cut knife closes the polygon to its pleasure!
I understand that it applies some algorithm to the polygon, but in the tutorial that uses an old c4d, it can cut everywhere without being created an automatic line.
I already try all the options of the instrument .....
can I leave the link of the tutorials?

Hi and welcome. I think you can get a similar result with a simple plane and the Surface deformer. You can then use splines or whatever you want to build your web.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
