Background Object not seen by refraction while compositting
I am compositting shuttered glass into a matchmoved scene similar to Philips "carousel" commercial (image attached). As normal background object with the video is not being seen by the refractions and blur, I need help getting a plain perfectly aligned with the animated camera and act as a backplate with the video sequence in material luminence, frontally projected. If there are any other ways getting the background of original scene video refracted through transparent glass pieces, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Re: Background Object not seen by refraction while compositt
mmm actually you can't do it due to an undefined distance of the Background object so all refraction materials become strange.
You need to simulate in a different way as a plane object rotated to the camera with a luminance channel and the footage loaded inside.
in this way you can make the plane children of the camera and put it away to avoid objects interferences.

Thank you very much for the reply. Just to make sure I understood it correctly. I shall put my plane with the original video in the luminence, then make the plane a child of the camera and this way it will stick to the camera movements?

Try to find an HDRI image with a scene reconstruction to help reflections and refraction
Re: Background Object not seen by refraction while compositt
This couple of days, I've been searching and posting to all C4D forums of the planet and getting no replies or idot ignorant off the topic replies. I have just done as you've said and it looks way more realistic than without refraction (please see the screenshot links below) due to undefined distance of the background object. The animation with slight reflections will look even better. Thank you very much again, I was already diving into Xpresso stuff to get this solved )
