Ok thanks for the advice. Freeze was probably turned on because I was trying everything I could think of before asking on the forum. I tried again using unfreeze, but got same results. But also I have a hard time working in C4D on win7 machine - it constantly freezes up. Maybe it's just non-function...

Help........I used the same settings for each roof surface, but the tiles on each surface are different scale-size [see attachment].
What am I doing wrong?
