Organic Architecture modeling tips?

Any tips for modeling this kind of organic shapes and ceilings? I always struggle so much using subdivision surface.
And this any ways of achieving this kind of pillar that is connected to both the ceiling and floor in a smooth way? Beveling goes crazy if I try to do stuff like that. I don't know if they model the ceiling, the floor and the pillars and then connect them in a certain way or what.
Thank you :)

Hello! welcome aboard. I think that this kind of structure should be achieved with polygon modelling and Subdivision surfaces. All seems to be a poly modelled structure but you must be a skilled on modelling techniques otherwise you will drive crazy...
I think there is no other way to create it....:)
