Balls are for lilfe, not just for xmas

Post by mikeb »

I have a basic emitter producing mograph particles that are affected by modynamics, and it works great till i place it in a metaball object.

Then the particles follow only they're basic path, no dynamics. Even if i bake the dynamic animation..

Help?

Should I take it that this is only happening to me then?

hi mikeb,

its a little hard to recreate the conditions in your scene to make some test. Maybe you can get more answers if you post the scene or a simplified version of it.

cheers

uhm.. as first advice, don't use a cloner object but a Fracture object instead, its more manageable. For the metaball question, i think as both metaballs and modynamics are generated/calculated at render time, you cant't use them togheter (metaballs will be generated unaware of modynamics clones positions). Why don't you use ThinkingParticles dynamics ? the will almost do the job
