I want piles..

Post by mikeb »

I need a pile of coal, i ran a simulation. But can't stop simulating..

Once i have run a dynamic mograph simulation. How can i just keep the simulated mesh?

When i say current state to object i get the initial frame of the simulation?!

What am i missing..

Hi,
MoDynamics are calculated on the fly so there are no physical keyframes to bake. There's a workaround involving a little xpresso setup that can be intimidating at first but its worth a try:
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread. ... ke+mograph

look in particular at post #8

Basically you make a copy of your cloner and make it editable, so you will end up with a null containing the same number of objects. Then you use xpresso to snap each object to his corresponding clone.

Beware this operation can be hard to manage depending on the number of clones

Hope this helps
cheers

Did you tried to use "current state to object" instead using Make editable by pressing C button?
