After a day of tests on how best to make the bullet feed work, the T600 has it's weapon platform of choice. His minigun with an semi-automatic M203 grenade launcher.. So unless you have the undercarriage of a train hanging around somewhere you won't be wanting to bump into him..

Now all i've got left to add are some straps to hold onto the big guy..

So this thread has been sleeping for a little while. About 9 months ago i backed all my work up while going from my old computer to my new one, somewhere in that process i lost the last 5 days of this project! Basically all the rigging and complicated stuff. Luckily i still had my mesh, but i wasn't happy.

Now i'm finishing off my ship sim, i thought it about time i came back here and did the hard work once more. Maybe even bringing some new touches.. Watch this space..

So here we go again, after a very long night and a terrible day scouring my old posts and experimenting with what i think i did before, i've got him up and stomping.

There are a list of animation controls missing (such as the hands), but i will get round to them as i test out the rig.

The render time is a bitch. I have a new i7 computer since January, even that's chugging while rendering this.

Next up I'm going to try my rig in some more complicated moves..

So here is my next test. Still working on the rigging, and trying to keep it the minimum number of controls.

This time the knee rotations needed a target to get the look i wanted.

Next up is a proper test for the arms (i may even rig the hands again).

So more tweaks. This time I have been checking how to to turn the lights out (more difficult than it sounds).

I spent a long time getting the lighting right on this model, for the final composite i must be able to light things how i more according to the scene and not just him. So i thought I'd test out a ballistics hit.

The still frame is just the sparks lit composite layer..

This is the first clip sporting my new watermark, my new website should be ready next week..
