Dear all

I am trying to find a way to get not only position but also rotation info from a polygon/surface and send it to aftereffects or at least to a null inside c4d (see attached image)
The ' external compositing' tag does give me the position but not the correct rotation data when exporting to after effects.

I use c4d r13 and AE cs6

Hi, and welcome.
There might be several ways around this: you can use a Constraint Tag (set to clamp) to align a null object to the surface, you can use Mograph to clone (a null or a reference object) on that polygon selection, and probably you can also align manually with a workplane. Then you can mark the null or reference object for external compositing and have it in AE.
If you use tags or mograph (and in general any expression) I think you must bake or make editable before exporting to AE, to get actual PSR tracks.
