Low Poly City

Hello C4DZone Community,

Today I saw this: https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/exte ... oly-assets awsome Low Poly City.

Afterwards I wanted to buildt my very own Low Poly City in Cinema 4D R15 Studio. After a few hours there wasnt anything useful and I stopped working on.

So why am I here? I want to get some general tips on how to build a City like the one at CGTrader. Im not new to C4D but I think im missing the know-how on basic stuff. My way to build a house of the city is starting with a cube and then do some extruding or booleans. Afterwards i'm selecting the polygons i want to color and draging a material on it.

So is that the right way of doing stuff like that?

Hoping i can get some good general tips on how to improve my low poly c4d works in future.


I hope my English isnt that bad im from germany and typing on my Smartphone ;D

Yes I think that is the right way to get this kind of result. These objets are to simple to build with cubes, booleans or extruded spline too, and finally you can use simple colours for them.
