continue a spline

Hello
How can i continue an open spline, am moving from 2d space in illustrator i used to click the point and i continue from it but here in c4d i am able to do the same i tried many combination of shift and ctrl but it didn't work out.
Please if anyone knows how to do it HELPPPPP.

In points mode, select the Move tool. Hold Ctrl and click where you want the next point of the spline to go. It will extend from the blue side of the spline. Not very obvious.
