On my office I have some C4D old installed release as 13 or 14, sorry but I don't remember them. (I love c4dzone emoticons)
I noticed a different behavior during the camera rotation so I have difficult to rotate my view on 3D mode...What about?

Try to change the "inverse orbit" on preferences panels and the problems will be solved
