a way to freeze vornonoi fractures?

Messaggio da tiCreativeMedia »

Hi,

I'm trying to add a voronoi fracture to a cube that has displacement animating. The problem is that the fractures keep moving around. I've tried looking for some sort of freeze tag, or anything but I can not find it. Is there a way to make that stop? I've added the file here.. I've tried the connect tag, and looked everywhere. I'm assuming it's something simple? After that, I'd be adding my effectors, but I need to get this worked out first.

Thanks-
Dave

Hi,

I think I found it, but I'd still like to know why this is the solution. I simply deselected a check box called "inside". The image is attached.

What is the idea behind this check box?

Thank You
Dave

This from OnlineHelp:

If enabled, points will only be placed inside the object to be fragmented. Depending on the settings defined, it can happen that no points come to lie within the bounding box (e.g., if the bounding box was moved using the Transform tab’s settings). If this occurs, no fragmentation will take place.
