Because, as I said, if you have not an image ad hoc as alpha channel, it uses the same RGB image that uses the luminance channel.

For image ad hoc, as alpha, I mean grayscale image that represents the transparent areas and opaque areas that you actually need.

Of course it depends on what you want to get ... What exactly would you get this your first test?
